The transfer of ownership is scheduled for 2025 and will transform the industrial site into a sustainable urban district.
Solvay and Revive, a specialist in sustainable redevelopment projects, have announced the signing of an exclusive purchase option for the Neder-Over-Heembeek site. This collaboration marks a significant step in the redevelopment of this iconic site. After a due diligence period, Revive will have the option to exercise the purchase agreement. If all conditions are met, the ownership transfer is expected to be finalized in 2025.
This agreement follows Solvay’s decision in March 2024 to sell the site and adapt it to its new activities. Solvay will retain its headquarters on the site and become a tenant in a modernized building with office spaces and laboratories tailored to the company’s specific needs.
The agreement reflects both partners’ commitment to promoting sustainable solutions while maintaining the industrial and innovative activities of the site.
